Well, Monday I attempted to go for a run again. Everything just seemed off. Only did 2.5 miles and finished with the thoughts of not being able to complete the half-marathon in 5 weeks. So, I knew that when I got home this afternoon, I better go for a run. I never start with a number in my head because I hate to fail. I did have a new route planned, which I knew to be about 4.5 miles. First mile was kinda rough, but I really started to get my pace about mile 3.5 when I was close to finishing what I originally started out to do. Now's a good time to say that I ate 3 Cliff Blocks right before running, so that is where the sudden burst of energy probably came from. Since, I was close to finishing my 4 miles, I decided to try 6 instead. A little after 5 miles, I decided what the heck I will try for 8 instead. I have been trying to run an 8 mile long run for a few weekends now, but didn't ever do it. I did it, 8 miles, 1:31 and burned 900 some calories. Slow pace, but I still finished. I wasn't feeling horrible when I stopped except I desperately needed water. Definitely gives me hope for the half-marathon.
Oh, on the PCOS realm of my life, we currently are on the 2 week waiting phrase of Clomid round 2. This part of the cycle sucks because there isn't anything to distract your mind. We should find out in a week or so. Fingers crossed cause I'm not sure I can make it through Clomid round 3.
See you next time.
